The product properties are a series of options or characteristics through which you can better define or limit your products, facilitating their subsequent management.
Create here your categories and variant groups (for example, size and color), different rates for the same product, or even pipelines that define the status of your shipments.
Access from the Control Panel, or from Control Menu > Settings > Inventory.
Product categories Go to Categories
The categories are characteristics of the product that facilitate its classification. They are used to filter (lists, document selector, reports, etc.) and can be applied transversally to different products. Whether they are relevant for commercial purposes or only internally, it is not essential that they appear reflected in the product documentation.
Some examples of categories applied to clothing can be “Season” (summer, autumn, winter, spring), “Gender” (Man, Woman, Kids), or “Brand”.
Categories should not be confused with variants, which are versions of the same product that differ in some eligible option (size, color, etc.).
Variant groups Go to Variant groups
In Holded there is the possibility of creating groups that gather variants. Each group encompasses the combination of all eligible product options that belong to a common context. This simplifies the creation and management of products by applying the variant group without the need to manually configure each case from scratch.
Size, length, color or cut are common eligible options for most pants. If your business sells pants, it would be useful to create a group of variants called for example "Pants" that offers you all these variants with their possible options.

Unlike variants, which can be added from the product creator, variant groups are created separately, from the Product Properties menu, and can be included later during the creation of a product with variants.
Price lists and rates Go to Price lists
In Holded, rates are the additional prices that can be assigned to a product next to its main rate or price. In this way, you can choose the rate you need depending on the moment.
You can assign them to your products, your contacts, or your Holded documents, and consult them in the Price lists section of the Product panel. There you will find all the rates you have created together with their names and descriptions.
Some examples of rates could be Sales, Mid-Season Sales, or Premium Customers
Pipelines (logistic stages) Go to Pipelines
Pipelines are states or phases that you can create and assign to your orders, delivery notes or sales documents. For example, if you sell a product, and you want to know if the order is in the warehouse, is in transit, or has already arrived at the destination, you can create as many stages as you want in order to have an exhaustive control of your documents.
Pipelines are also called funnels, and for that reason, they are represented by the funnel icon.

Country taxes Go to country taxes
Holded allows you to set custom taxes for each country. In addition to accessing it from Control Menu > Configuration > Billing > Taxes, you have the option to do it comfortably from Product properties > Go to settings > Taxes by country. Holded te permite establecer impuestos personalizados para cada país. Stock system Go to stock system
Holded allows you to choose your stock management method between Automatic (which appears by default and subtracts stock intelligently from invoices, orders and delivery notes) or Manual (useful when your stock operations are simple and you want only stock to be moved to the create invoices). Holded te permite elegir el método de gestión de tu stock entre Automático (que aparece por defecto y resta stock de forma inteligente desde facturas, pedidos y albaranes) o Manual (útil cuando tus operaciones de stock sean simples y quieras que solo se mueva stock al crear facturas).
