Remember that in order to start invoicing your projects, you will first need to set up your billing and budgeting preferences per project. These preferences always take precedence over the general project billing and budgeting settings you have set up in Holded.
Get there
- Go to Projects from the navigation bar
- Click on Projects
- Enter the corresponding project
Billing time records in your projects
Holded offers you the option to bill the cost of the time records that employees have been adding for each task in their projects.
- From the Billing tab, click on Invoice
- Select Time records
- In the next screen, select the project with the logged hours to be invoiced
- Hit Next
- Select the applicable billable hours option:
All uninvoiced time records All records that have been entered for this project and are not yet invoiced will be considered. Uninvoiced time records from
Unbilled records from one of the following time options will be taken into consideration: this month, last month, this quarter, this year, last year. Do not include any time records No time records will be taken into consideration. - Choose how to display the time records from the drop-down menu:
This option won't be shown in case of selecting the previous option: Do not include any time record.
Combine the time records of each task into a line Hours recorded on each task will be combined on one line of the invoice. Combine the time records of each person into a line Hours recorded per person/member will be combined on one line of the invoice. Combine the time records of each project into a line The hours recorded on each project will be combined on one line of the invoice. Combine the time records of each category into a line Hours recorded by project category will be combined on one line of the invoice. Show each time record as a line Each time record entered will be shown as one line on the invoice. - Click on Review invoice
- Check that the data is correct and hit Save
