Choosing the view type for your projects and tasks
Once you have created your project, you will need to choose how you want to view the tasks you create.
Remember that you will only be able to set the view format in those projects that include the Board tab. Also, keep in mind that the number of view options available will depend on the template you selected when creating the project.
- Once inside the project, click on the Board tab
- Pick one of the display options supported by your project template. You will find them at the top right, right next to the filters:
Basic, Kanban or Tasks by status | This view is the one most commonly used to be able to have a visual classification of the different customized stages of the project in column format. In addition to being able to drag tasks from one stage to another in an intuitive way. |
List view or Backlog |
This format allows you to have a classification in a list format and to be able to hide the lists you are not working on. |
Gantt diagram | The Gantt diagram is very useful to visually check the duration of each task within each list. You can filter by months, weeks, or days, and hide those lists in which you are not using the time control. |
By due date | View generated tasks by day, week, or month. Access them directly from the calendar. |
Sheets | This view is the most similar to working with a table in Excel. All available fields per task will be displayed, and you can hide the lists you don't work with. |
You can change the view format whenever you need to without losing any information. We recommend that you choose the view that best suits your way of working.
