Create an asset
Keep in mind that only when you create the asset from a purchase invoice the account entry will be generated automatically. Otherwise, you will need to create the account entry manually.
Create an asset without a purchase invoice
- Access to the Assets section
- Click the blue "+" button
- Select the option Create asset
- Fill in the information in the Asset Details
- Click Create
How to enter a value and a start date
- Put a value and a purchase date
In this case, the table will be generated from the starting year, although you can generate the entries from the current year by selecting the number of years of amortization so that the percentage automatically appears.
In the event that you do not generate the entries for all the previous years, the Amortized Amount and Current Value will not be the real ones. - Put a pending amortization value with the current date or value and date to day 01/01
In this case, the number of years pending amortization is added, and the amortization percentage will be carried out automatically.
When downloading the asset file, the standard depreciation percentage of the tables will not appear, but the proportional calculation is based on the remaining years.
Create an asset with a purchase invoice
- Access to the Assets section
- Click the blue "+" button
- Select Purchase Invoice
- Fill in the invoice information and select an accounting account from group 2 (Non-current assets)
- Click on Save
Keep in mind that when registering a purchase invoice, an Asset file will only be generated if in the Categorization section you select an accounting account from group 2 (Non-current assets), such as account 21700000 (Equipment for information processes).
Create an asset from an already existing purchase invoice
- Access to Expenses on the navbar
- On the list, identify your purchase invoice
- Click on the three-dot button ( ⋮ ) and then on Edit
- In Categorization, change the accounting account to one from group 2 (Non-current assets)
- Click on Save
- Now, go to Accounting on the navbar
- Select Assets
- Identify the asset corresponding to your purchase invoice
If you need to amortize the asset just created, click on its line and then on the Amortize button
