Get there
- Access the Control menu that you’ll find in the top right corner of the platform
- Once the menu is displayed, click on Edit profile, which you’ll find right below your name

How to enable 2FA
- Access your User profile
- Click on the Two-Factor Authentication toggle
- Type your password to enable two-factor authentication
- Hit Continue
- Pick your country from the dropdown menu on the left to specify your calling code
- Enter the phone number that you would like to associate with the 2FA
- Select Send code
- Introduce the six-digit verification code that will be sent to your phone via SMS
- Click on Verify
If you have not received an SMS in a pair of minutes, click on Get new code so that you can be sent a new code. Please note that this process only works with European phone lines.
After following the previous steps 2FA will be successfully activated. Simply hit Done to finish the process.
Change the phone number associated with 2FA
In case you need to change the phone number associated with 2FA in your Holded account, you will need to execute two main actions: deactivating 2FA and re-enabling it. Check the next steps to see how to proceed.
Get there
- Click on the Control menu placed in the top right corner of your Holded platform
- Go to your User profile
How to deactivate 2FA
- Access your User profile
- Turn off 2FA by using the toggle
- You will be sent a new code to your original phone number
- Enter the new code to confirm the deactivation of 2FA

This will complete the process of deactivation. Let’s have a look now at what you need to do to re-enable 2FA and add your new phone number.
How to re-enable 2FA
- Access your User profile
- Click on the toggle to re-enable 2FA
- Enter your password to confirm activation of 2FA
- Hit Continue
- Add the new phone number that will be associated with 2FA
Remember to pick your country from the dropdown menu to introduce your calling code.
- Select Send code
- Introduce the six-digit verification code that will be sent to your phone via SMS
- Click on Verify
By completing the process explained above you’ll successfully change the phone number you use in 2FA.
