- Access Projects from Banking in the navigation bar
- Select Projects
- Access the three-point menu (⋮)
- Click on Import
Importing your projects from an Excel file
With Holded you have the option of importing your projects from an Excel file so that you can transfer and access them directly from the platform.
1. Download the import template
- In the pop-up window, click on Excel
- In the next pop-up window, download the XLSX file sample
- Open the downloaded document to see the format and be able to work on it
2. Complete the template
Fill in the fields below. Remember to pay special attention to the mandatory ones (*):
Name* |
Enter the name by which you will identify the project within Holded. |
Description | Briefly define the project. |
Contact | Add a contact to the project. It does not need to be registered in the Contacts section. |
Mode (basic, sprints, kanban)* | Choose the type of template. You have to type the name of the template you want to use: basic, sprints, or kanban. |
Key (three characters)* | Enter three characters to identify the project. |
Start date dd/mm/yy* |
Indicate the day you start working on the project. Follow the format dd/mm/yy. |
Due date dd/mm/yy |
Indicate the day on which you finish the project. Follow the format dd/mm/yy. |
Tags (separated by comma) |
They must be separated by commas. These tags function as labels to help you identify your projects. |
Allow notifications (1 : yes, 0 : no) |
If marked as active (1), alerts will be sent to the emails of each employee involved in creating the tasks. |
Billing (1: yes, 0: no) |
Enter a 0 (billing disabled) or 1 (billing enabled) depending on whether you want to enable project billing. |
Budgeting (1: yes, 0: no) |
Decide if you want to add the budget allocated to your project. Enter 1 if yes, or 0 if no. |
Public (1 : yes, 0 : no)* |
Determine the privacy of the project. Type a 1 if you want it to be public or a 0 if you want it to be private. |
Once you have completed the template fields, save the spreadsheet in XLSX format so that you can import the information correctly.
3. Upload the template information to Holded
- Access again the three-point menu (⋮)
- Click on Import
- Click on Add file
- Select the spreadsheet or template that you have previously saved
- Check that the order of the columns and the data included are correct
- Click on Confirm to complete the import
Remember that after finishing the import, you always have the option to edit any data from the platform.
