Remember that you need to activate the Inventory gem in the Holded Store to add multiple warehouses and access advanced inventory management options
How to get there
- Go to Inventory from the navigation bar
- Select Products
Unlike management through templates, the Update Stock functionality allows you to manage your inventory directly on the platform, making it easy viewing and apply stock changes to your products

Update stock from the product card
With this option, you can view and modify the stock of a single product in a warehouse.
Update stock from the product card
- Select a product from the list
- In the product sheet, click the Update stock button
- Specify the units you want to add or subtract, next to the Add field
To add units enter the amount in positive (+25); to subtract units use the negative sign (-25)
- Include a description, if you want to remember any details about this operation
- Choose the warehouse on which to apply said movement
- Indicate the date of stock adjustment
- Click the Confirm button
Update stock from the product selector
Also, access the selector by following the path Inventory > Control panel > Operations > Update stock
From the selector, you can massively update the stock of several products. There are two ways:
Update manually
- Click the three dots (⋮) button, top right
- Choose the option Update stock
- In the pop-up menu, click Product list
- From the product list, use the search bar, the Type dropdown, or the pager to find your products
From the Type selector, you can choose the type of product you want to filter by: All, Simple, Variants, Lots, Serial Numbers
- Indicate those in which you want to update stock by checking the boxes next to them
- Press Select
- In the next window, use the Add or Set options to the right of each product to modify the stock:
- Choose the Add option to add or subtract a specific number of units to your inventory
- Use the Set option to enter a new total count in your inventory
To add units, enter the amount in positive (+25); to subtract, in negative (-25)
- Select the affected warehouse on which to apply the stock change
- In the Date field, indicate when the stock adjustment takes place
If you have selected the Set option in previous steps, you will only be able to enter today's date. The Add option does allow stock adjustments with past or future dates
- Use the Description field to add a comment or details about the stock change
- Click Update Stock to confirm the stock adjustment
Update with barcode scanner

- Click the three dots (⋮) button, top right
- Choose the option Update stock
- Scan your products to select them
Alternatively, you can use the enabled field (Scan your items) to enter the barcode of your products instead of scanning them.
- Once they are added to your list, scan again those in which you want to add units
- Alternatively, use the Add or Set options to the right of each product to modify stock:
- Choose the Add option to add or subtract a specific number of units to your inventory
Use a negative number to subtract a certain amount from inventory.
- Use the Set option to enter a new total count in your inventory
- Choose the Add option to add or subtract a specific number of units to your inventory
- From Affected Warehouse, choose the warehouse in which the stock adjustment takes place
- Indicate when the stock change takes place in the Date field
If you have chosen the Set option above, you will only be able to select today's date. For its part, the Add option does admit changes with past or future dates
- Use the Description field to add information related to the stock change
- Click Update stock to confirm the action
Update stock when creating documents
If you have the automatic stock system activated (default), the stock of your products will be updated when creating documents on the platform. This procedure is valid for products that you have previously created in Holded.

Update stock when creating invoices
From the invoice creator, in the Sales section, you can add your products to the concept lines, and specify the number of units for the system to apply the change to your inventory

Update stock when creating purchase and sales orders
Remember that if you work with products with lots and serial numbers, you have the option to archive those that you have already sold to view only those that remain available
From the sales order creator and the purchase order creator, in the Inventory section, you can add products to the concept lines of your order, specifying the number of units for the system to apply the change to your inventory.
