What can I import into Holded?

No matter what your previous management tool was, Holded allows importing all your data, so that you can start working in the most efficient way within the shortest time.

Imports are made through Excel templates downloadable from the platform, you will need to fill them in with your data to then upload them again through the same section.

Access to the Import section to find all the available templates

You will see that each template has several fields; although not all the fields are required, it is very important that you do not delete any column or modify its order.

In case you don't have data for a particular field, just leave the column in blank.

To have all your company information reported correctly, we strongly recommend following this import order. 

1. Import your Chart of accounts
It is essential to start by importing your company's chart of accounts. If you don't do so, the system will automatically assign the default accounts, and you will have to manually modify them in a second moment.

2. Import your Contacts

It is very important that in this template you fill in the NIF / CIF field, since all the information in Holded is linked through this data.

3. Import your Products and Services

When completing this template, do not forget to fill in the field related to the SKU, one of the most relevant, especially if you work with e-commerce platforms and need to integrate them with Holded.

4. Import your Sales

We suggest that you start with the sales invoices and continue with the other documents, such as proformas or quotes.

This step is important so that your sales data is transferred to the accounting for the relevant year. You can import invoices from the current year or previous ones.

5. Import your Expenses

Payrolls are considered expenses' documents. Learn here how to import your employees' payroll.

As for the sales documents, we recommend that you start with the purchase invoices and continue with the other expense documents.

6. Import your Assets

In the event that your company has assets, you can import them without having to create their corresponding purchase invoices.
