How to get there
- Go to the Inventory section in the navigation bar
- Select Products
- Click on the three dots button ( ⋮ )
- Select Import / Update
You can also import products by following the path Inventory > Control Panel > Operations > Import / Update, or also from Control Menu > Import and then select Products within Inventory
1. Download the import template
Choose the template
Within Import, select the Inventory category, and choose from the three available stock import templates:
A window will open: Click Download a sample of the XLSX file to download the import format
2. Complete the selected template
A. Stocktaking
The downloaded file will contain the latest version of your inventory in Holded. Edit, if you wish, the available fields:
- Columns A, B (SKU), and C (Name) should not be edited as they contain system data for the update to work properly.
- Column D: Description of the movement: Use this column to put a description that will appear in the inventory history
- Columns E and after represent your warehouses
Do not leave any column blank or your product stock will appear as 0 once the template is imported
B. Stock adjustment by SKU
Fill in the SKU or the number of units of the products you want to update:
Column A | SKU |
Product code in Holded. It is essential that each product has a code assigned to be able to update the stock in bulk | |
Column B | Warehouse (ID) |
You will find it in the Information section when selecting the warehouse within Inventory | |
Column C | Stock difference |
In case you want to subtract the number of units write the number in negative | |
Column D | Lot/Serial number's SKU |
Add the serial number or lot's number, in addition to the generic SKU of the product, in case you want to update the stock of a product with lots | |
Column E | Inventory date |
Add the date on which you want the stock movement to be recorded |
C. Stock adjustment by SKU (with products)
Fill in the SKU or the number of units of the products you want to update:
Column A (DON'T MODIFY) |
They should not be edited as they contain system data for the update to work properly |
Column B (SKU) |
Product code in Holded. It is essential that each product has a code assigned to be able to update the stock in bulk |
Column C (Name) |
The name of the product |
Column D (Actual stock) |
This is your current stock of the product |
Column E Warehouse (ID) |
Use it to add the warehouse name or ID |
Column F (Add units) |
It is where you can update the number of units in your stock. In the case that you want to subtract, you will have to write the number in negative |
Column G (Inventory date) |
Add the date on which you want the stock movement to be recorded |
Column H (Move description) |
You can write a description that will appear in the inventory history |
3. Upload the filled template
- Select Import from the control menu
- Click on Inventory
- Select the template you want to upload (Stocktaking, Stock adjustment by SKU, or Stock adjustment by SKU with Products)
- Drag (or select) the file into the import window
